In the period from 13th to 29th July 2022 the Center for Roma Initiatives implemented 20 interactive workshops in which 300 young girls and boys aged 11-18 from the Roma and Egyptian community in Berane, Bijelo Polje, Tivat, Nikšić and Podgorica took part.
The workshops were conducted in the form of a quiz in order for young people to improve their knowledge of human rights and their protection, the consequences and specifics of child arranged marriage and domestic violence as well as penal norms in an innovative way.
Interactive workshops were implemented as part of the project “Innovative approach in achieving equal rights of the Roma and Egyptian community” within the program “Responsible and solidary: citizens take the initiative” implemented by the Fund for Active Citizenship – fAKT, in partnership with non-governmental organizations Association of Parents with Difficulties in to the development of “Ray of Hope” and the Active Zone, with financial support from the European Union and co-financing from the Ministry of Public Administration.
