On 14th november 2022 the Center for Roma Initiatives implemented two workshops for 9 young people and 13 adults from the Roma and Egyptian community in Bijelo Polje.
We talked with the participants about the forms of violation of children’s rights, the consequences of child arranged marriages and penal norms. While young people got familiar with their rights and institutional mechanisms for their protection in an innovative way. Young people and adults are also introduced to two licensed services of the Center for Roma Initiatives: Psychological counseling and the National SOS line for potential victims and victims of child arranged marriages.
The workshops were implemented within the project “United in the realization of children’s rights” which is supported by UNICEF in Montenegro.
