14 professional workers from the north of Montenegro underwent an accredited training organized by the Center for Roma Initiatives entitled: “Basic training program for professionals, professional associates and members of multidisciplinary teams for the prevention and suppression of child arranged marriages”.
Through the two-day training participants had the opportunity to gain knowledge about more adequate risk assessment and timely reactions in dealing with cases of child arranged marriages in the Roma and Egyptian community. After the training all participants acquired the conditions for obtaining a certificate issued by the Institute for Child and Social Protection.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the municipality of Berane which provided us with a hall for work.
The activity was implemented through the project “Adequate reintegration for victims of child illegal marriages within the Roma and Egyptian community in Montenegro” which is supported by the UN Voluntary Trust Fund on Contemporary Forms of Slavery (UNVFCFS).
