On 04/08/2017 on the occasion of International Roma Day, in cooperation with the IPA Section Montenegro and with financial support from the OAK Foundation and CARE International, as part of a ceremonial academy of IPA, a group of amateurs of the Forum Theater of the Center for Roma Initiatives performed the performance on the theme of child arranged marriages and domestic violence.
The mentioned event was organized in Niksićko pozorište, and within the academy the appropriate cultural and artistic program was organized within which recognition letters and membership cards were given to newly elected IPA friends, during which a letter of gratitude was given to the Executive Coordinator of the Center for Roma Initiatives, Ms. Fana Delija.
Guests at the academy and audience of the performances were from the region, the delegation of IPA section from Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and guests from Albania, representatives of relevant institutions and the citizens of Niksic, IPA Members and IPA friends and partners of the Center for Roma Initiatives from the region, among which there were representatives of CARE International in Bosnia and Herzegovina, NGO Bibija from Serbia, NGO Bolja budućnost from Tuzla.
After the ceremony a cocktail was organized for the participants.
This activity is part of the projects “Through Joint Struggle to Suppression of GBV and child, arranged marriages in Roma and Egyptian Communities in Montenegro”, which is supported by the OAK Foundation and “Education without violence”, which is implemented under the regional project ” For the Active Inclusion and the Rights of Roma Women in the Western Balkans II”, which is being implemented in partnership with CARE International and financial support from the Austrian Development Cooperation.
