Women’s Network Meeting

On 11th December 2021 The Center for Roma Initiatives signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the women’s REA network “FIRST”, which will improve the current cooperation to combat gender-based violence and child arranged marriages. The signing of the memorandum was attended by 13 members of the network from Niksic, Podgorica, Bijelo Polje, Bar and Tivat.

The activity was implemented within the project “Active Involvement of Roma and Egyptian Women in the Prevention of Violence and Child Arranged Marriages in Montenegro” which is implemented within the program “Ending Violence against Women in the Western Balkans and Turkey: Implementing Norms, Changing Minds” funded by the European Union, implemented by the Office of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Montenegro and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN WOMEN).
