On the occasion of October 18 – the European Anti- Trafficking Day, the Center for Roma Initiatives on 18th and 19th October 2023 in Podgorica and Berane implemented a campaign called “ALL TOGETHER against Human Trafficking”.
By setting up an information desk and taking pictures with an Instagram frame as well as distributing promotional material (scented bottles for cars and flyers) about 400 citizens and representatives of the Roma and Egyptian community were informed about the importance of celebrating European Anti-Trafficking Day with the aim of timely identification of potential and victims of human trafficking and detection and prosecution of perpetrators.
The initiative is part of the project “Promotion of human rights within the Roma and Egyptian community”, which is implemented by the Center for Roma Initiatives and is supported through the program “CSOs in Montenegro – from basic services to policy formulation – M’BASE” implemented by the Center for Civic Education (CGO), Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), the Center for Protection and Study of Birds of Montenegro (CZIP) and Politikon network. The project is financed by the European Union and co-financed by the Ministry of Public Administration.
