CRI je 02.10.2023.godine obilježio Međunarodni dan nenasilja..
U tri romska i egipćanska naselja u Nikšiću oko
CRI marked the International Day of Nonviolence on 2nd October 2023.
In three Roma and Egyptian settlements in Nikšić, 100 members of the Roma and Egyptian community were informed about the multiple harmful consequences of domestic violence, peer violence in schools, on the street, in traffic by setting up info-desk and distributing promotional material (T-shirts, pens and thermoses) with the message “Non-violence is freedom”.
We also talked with the community about the importance of promoting a culture of peace, non-violence, solidarity and tolerance so that everyone, especially children and young people, learn how to resolve conflicts peacefully without violence.
The initiative is part of the project “Promotion of human rights within the Roma and Egyptian community”, which is implemented by the Center for Roma Initiatives and is supported through the program “CSOs in Montenegro – from basic services to policy formulation – M’BASE” implemented by the Center for Civic Education (CGO), Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), the Center for Protection and Study of Birds of Montenegro (CZIP) and Politikon network. The project is financed by the European Union and co-financed by the Ministry of Public Administration.[:]
